Holding Up The Universe

I thought Holding Up The Universe was kind of predictable. It was so classic of a story that you knew what would come next before it even happened. Although the author did add some interesting or unique touches to the characters lives, it was still, in my opinion, a boring book to read. I personally wouldn't recommend this book, but everyone has different taste, so anyone could really have a different opinion of it.

This book is about mythology and epic adventures where a girl named Emily meets a pegasus and goes with him to Olympus. She helps the olympians fight a dangerous war and befriends the pegasus and many olympians while she is there. When that pegasus ended up on her roof after a storm one night, she didn't know her life was about to drastically change. For the better or for the worse? Scythe

"Scythe" was an intriguing and very heart-warming book. It left a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter and continued to make me want to read on. The character development in the story is phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a blend of romance and action. Out of five stars, I'd give it four for the plot and storyline, but the story got dull at some parts and seemed to just drag on. Good job, Neal Shusterman!
