Why the The Hunger Games is Cinnasational!

Image
The book,  The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins is one of my favorite books. The Hunger Games  is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen who has to fight against 23 other people to survive. I really like The Hunger Games  because every moment in the book made me more curious. At the end of every chapter there was a cliffhanger and it made me wanting to read more. I also love The Hunger Games  because it had an awesome movie to go along with it. The movie really described and showed what the book was about. I really liked this book and I recommend this book to anyone! I hope that you read it and love it just as much I did.

How They've Met

During the twelve years I've lived on this earth I've read quite a few books. Though the one book that stood out to me out of all of them was How They've Met , which is where you read Chat logs instead of descriptive paragraphs. I really enjoyed this book because it was a page turner that I couldn't stop reading. It had unexpected twists and turns in the plot line that really made me love it. There was a mystery and horror element, with a sprinkle of romance.  How They've Met  tells a story about an app that a group of friends secretly use to chat with each other - until the corporation that runs the app is suddenly burned down. As the friends work together to bring the app back up, secrets unravel and different people are put in a new light. Even if I did thoroughly enjoy this book, I wouldn't recommend it to most people due to the amount of gore and language used in the book.

All About Everything Everything

Everything Everything was a comedy, serious, sad, and funny book. It was about a girl named Madeline Whitter who has a disease called SCID where she can't go outside because her body doesn't have enough strength to fight off a sickness if she gets one. Her dad and brother got into a car crash when she was 4 months old and her mom was heartbroken. A boy moves next door and she falls in love with him and they start emailing. Does she risk her life for this love or does she keep it safe? I would definitely recommend this book.

Why my favorite book is Grace, Gold, and Glory by Gabby Douglas

Image
The book Grace Gold and Glory was written by Gabby Douglas. Gabby Douglas is a world famous 2 time Olympic champion. I love this book because she shows great perseverance and proves that if you set your mind to something you can achieve your dreams. This book is about her life story and how she went from being any other girl in a gymnastics gym, to one of the most famous gymnasts of all time.  This book amazes me because of all of the obstacles and struggle that she face, but somehow managed to overcome. I also really like how she gets to tell her own story because she actually experienced everything talked about in the book. A different author would not be able to describe the exact thing she was feeling at that moment which is why I really like that she gets to tell the readers what actually happened. I enjoyed this book very much and I hope that you read it and enjoy it as much as I did.

This book is "Out of my Mind"

Image
My favorite book is Out of my Mind for many reasons. One reason why it is my favorite is because of the detail in the book. Detail is so important in books because it helps the reader understand the setting, characters, and more. Out of my Mind has a lot of detail to help the reader understand the life of Melody (the main character). Melody has cerebral palsy which limits her ability to talk and walk, so she is stuck in a wheelchair for her whole life. It s hard to understand how Melody feels throughout the book without details, so that is why I like all of the detail in Out of my Mind. Another reason why I like the book Out of my Mind is because it shows how Melody grows and changes throughout the story which is interesting to read. It shows how melody gets smarter and how she learns to accept her disabilities. Those are some reasons why I like the book Out of my Mind.

My Favorite Book

Image
I have read many good books, but one that really stood out was Percy Jackson. In 4th grade, we read it for school and it was really good so I read the whole series 2 times. I think Percy Jackson was the best book I have ever read.

I always follow the RULES

Image
My favorite book was Rules by Cynthia Lord. This book makes readers entertained and happy. This book is about boy named David who has autism. David faces many challenges every day. While reading you will learn a very import lesson, that lesson is to always respect others. Rules inspires people to always be respectful and don't judge just because someone else is different then you. It is a very touching book and I know you will love it. If I were to recommend this book so someone I would recommend it to 4 grade and over, because younger kids might not fully understand the book.

I "WONDER" what is your favorite book?

My favorite book is "Wonder" by R. J Palacio. This book teaches us about bullying, judging people on how they look, being nice to everyone, be kind, and being friendly. The reader gets multiple perspectives of people which give the reader multiple emotions and opinions. I really enjoyed that I got many perspectives because there are always two (or more) sides to every story. This book is enjoyable, thrilling, emotional, and interesting. I recommend it to everyone at any age. It is a great book club story, family book, class book, basically a good book for everyone. I normally do not like books but this book truly put me every perspective and I couldn't put the book down! I loved the book so much I read it 5 times! It is a heart-warming book and I think everyone should read it.

Rain Reign, interesting and addicting

My favorite book of all time is named Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin. This book is so interesting, and so addicting. It is a 220 page book, and I have to say I absolutely dislike reading. I picked this book out because it was a recommendation by a peer, and I love it. It is about a girl named Rose Howard, and she has high functioning autism, also known as Asperger's. Since she has Asperger's, she is obsessed with random things, such as homonyms, numbers, and rules. There was a hurricane that hit upstate New York, and her dog Rain was lost. Rose, her dad, and uncle go on the search in order to find Rain. This book is so entertaining, and I recommend it to all people.

"WONDER" what my favorite book is?

Image
My favorite book is "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio.  Multiple lessons are taught throughout the book. Bullying, don't judge a book by the cover, being friendly, going outside of your comfort zone to make new friends, and also treating others the way you want to be treated are all examples of the lessons taught. The book has many perspectives, which give different sides, because everyone has a different opinion. This book is thrilling and enjoyable, which made me want to keep reading it. Normally, I don't like books, but this book was helpful in teaching while being entertaining at the same time. The whole story of this book is something inspirational for others to stand up for themselves, and show who they really are. I would definitely read this book again if I get the chance to.

Do you WONDER?

Image
The book Wonder by R.J Palacio was really good. It makes the readers enjoy it and want to keep reading. The book is happy and also has a good theme. This book teaches you not to judge anyone on the way they look. The book Wonder has multiple perspectives which gives the reader more detail and an understanding of how everyone feels. The perspectives showed that there is always 2 or more perspectives in a story. The book Wonder is very good and enjoyable while also showing the life lessons and themes along the way. The book Wonder is a very inspirational and encouraging to be yourself and don't be afraid to show who you are. Augie, the main character really showed who he was even though he was afraid. Augie was always confident about himself and kind to others. I recommend this book to everyone!

What Time Is It? A Time To Dance

Image
A time to Dance is a book that warms your heart and shows what real perseverance. She pushes through her challenges into her strengths. She loves and is a talented dancer, but in the event that causes her to lose her leg is devastating. But she pushes through her brick wall and shows the world that she can still dance. She ignores the haters and all the people in disbelief. Instead of practicing her daily stretches, she is struggling to put her leg together and dance. So she starts all again and practices and learns with the youngest dancers and works her way up again. She continues learning and improving even with the humiliation that she received from the people saying that she can't do it.  I loved how she worked hard and pushed through all of the hate.

Glacier Girl. You Should Give it a Whirl

Image
Glacier Girl is one of my favorite books. It has a superhero-like plot with a relatable main character and a fantastic plot. By the end of the book you really come to care about and want the best for the main character. The character has awesome secret abilities that make the book interesting while common high school dilemmas take place as well. There are numerous plot twists that are both uprising and enjoyable and in addition, a very exciting climax. This book is a must.

Do you Want to Know Everything About "Everything, Everything" ?

Image
Last year I read Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon which I thought was an amazing book. The story is about a girl named Madeline who has a disease which prevents her from going outside. Although she stays inside for a majority of the book it is interesting to see the things she does while being inside all day every day. I don't think I would be able to stay inside for over 18 years like madeline. Overall this book is amazing and I recommend it to everyone.

The Westing Game is One of The Best Books There Is

The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is a wonderful mysterious page turner book. It poses many questions to the reader, and makes it more and more interesting by the page. The book has many different characters we all can connect to. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the mystery genre.

The Bridge To Terrabithia

Image
My most favorite book was The Bridge To Terrabithia by Katherine Paterson. The movie was better than the book(because I didn't have to read it). It mainly involved Jess and Leslie's imagination to create what they wanted their Forest to look like. They imagined everything they ever wanted, A tree house, bug worriers and a tree woman.

The Westing Game; Rich with interest

Image
The Westing Game is probably my favorite book I have ever read so far. I love it so much I started reading the second book. The Westing Game is about a mysterious death but the cause is unknown. Many clues were found around town and inside Sunset towers overlooking Lake Michigan. Main character Turtle Wexler is one of many playing The Westing Game. I love this book and would recommend it to people who like the mystery genre. Solve the clues along side Turtle Wexler to find out what happens. Have fun!

Percy Jackson and he Rader Theif

Percy Jackson By far is he best book I've read combining Mythology, Adventure, and Humor Why I personally liked it is because I love comedy and Rick Riordon did a great job of keeping the reader interested by adding action and comedy at every turn as well as incorporating mythology.
